I am 22 years old, and born and raised in Northridge. I have always been interested in makeup, but my passion really came alive when I was diagnosed with cancer in 2019. I am over 5 1/2 years cancer free, but during that time, I didn’t have any hair, so I taught myself how to do makeup. I was able to be a part of something called Beauty Bus at the hospital where they would do facials, makeup, and anything for cancer patients, survivors, and their families. That was the first time as someone with cancer, that I felt truly beautiful.
